Rewards!

This weeks Klub was on the subject of Rewards! There were a lot of good stories to choose from (see below), but we chose the story of "Helping the Stranger". This was about a king that searched out & found a couple that was deserving of a reward. And reward him he did!

We had a guest appearance of Bill, from Monterrey, as the King! Thanks Bill!

Some of the kids made crowns, to go along with the verse: Be faithful & I will give you a crown of life. Revelations 2:10
tanks for your help, Auntie Lily!

Alan & Kenny with their crowns!

Jaden with his crown!

The older children made Origami crowns. Here is a link to more origami to try. Be sure to use square paper for your projects. Rewards to those that bring a sample to the next KK meeting. (At the park, by the way.) Origami in action!

How about a reward for those that bring a origami sculpture to the next KK!

Lindsay, James & Marie's granddaughter, joined us for the activities this week. Here she is with her paper puppet.

Speaking of Marie...Thank you, Marie! She supplied us with some delicious snacks! They keep us happy & healthy during our KK!

Hope to see you at the next one!

Be the Best!

We got "wet & wild" today! Everyone (or almost everyone) brought their swimsuits so we could enjoy some water balloon activities! Check out the video for the fun!

Andrea praying for Jerry (Kylie's grandpa), who was in the hospital. Hope you're feeling better, Jerry!

Shayne & Kenny helped act out the story of the Peacock & the Hen, teaching us to just do the best at what we can do. (It's not all about how beautiful you are.)

We then did a fun art project...

...then proceeded outside for our water balloon fun!

Here are a few extra activities you can do.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Click on the Activity Page you want. When the page opens click on "File" in the upper left of your computer screen. Click on "Save page as..." & then save to where you want. Now you have a picture to print & color (or open in a "paint" program & color) or a story to print & read or read right off of the computer! do the same with the picture files above or the ones in the Photos section.

We're Back!

Well, it's been awhile since the last KK, but we're up & running again! Thanks to all you that were able to attend! After all, your attendance is what makes the Klub! & to those that couldn't make it, we hope to see you next time. No worries, though: if you can't make it we'll try to keep you updated with what we did, right here!

We were happy to have JP & Sara's kidz with us this week, as well as Jonathan!

All Things Work Together for Good!
This was this weeks theme! Shaney starred as "the little maid" from the story of Naaman, & how in spite of her having to leave her family in Samaria & go to Syria as the captain of the Syrian army's maid, she was able to bring peace to her nation because of how she turned a bad thing into a good thing. Read it in 2Kings 5:1-14 ( & read on to find out more about the exciting things that happened during the times of Elisha).

The "little maid" (Shaney) being carried away by her Syrian captors (Kenny & Jonathan).

We prepared some boats & houses for an "all things" story on the lost fishing fleet, performed by all those that made a house or boat.

For a fun activity we ran an obstacle course that Jeanna & Jessica made, to help us to understand that obstacles can be fun! Everyone that participated in this one really enjoyed it!

Henny Penny Tarzan style

Special "Hello!" to Joey! Here's a picture of your dear little girl! Enjoy!- "Hi, Daddy!"

Not too many photos this week; the camera batteries died. We had the story of "Who Will Help Me?" Nicole, Noelle's sister, helped as Jane, of Tarzan (Sam). Thanks, Nicole! The story is an adaptation of "Henny Penny". We then made some stick/foam animal faces, & had some playtime.
Not sure when the next Klub will be. I'll keep you posted!
