We're Back!

Well, it's been awhile since the last KK, but we're up & running again! Thanks to all you that were able to attend! After all, your attendance is what makes the Klub! & to those that couldn't make it, we hope to see you next time. No worries, though: if you can't make it we'll try to keep you updated with what we did, right here!

We were happy to have JP & Sara's kidz with us this week, as well as Jonathan!

All Things Work Together for Good!
This was this weeks theme! Shaney starred as "the little maid" from the story of Naaman, & how in spite of her having to leave her family in Samaria & go to Syria as the captain of the Syrian army's maid, she was able to bring peace to her nation because of how she turned a bad thing into a good thing. Read it in 2Kings 5:1-14 ( & read on to find out more about the exciting things that happened during the times of Elisha).

The "little maid" (Shaney) being carried away by her Syrian captors (Kenny & Jonathan).

We prepared some boats & houses for an "all things" story on the lost fishing fleet, performed by all those that made a house or boat.

For a fun activity we ran an obstacle course that Jeanna & Jessica made, to help us to understand that obstacles can be fun! Everyone that participated in this one really enjoyed it!

Henny Penny Tarzan style

Special "Hello!" to Joey! Here's a picture of your dear little girl! Enjoy!- "Hi, Daddy!"

Not too many photos this week; the camera batteries died. We had the story of "Who Will Help Me?" Nicole, Noelle's sister, helped as Jane, of Tarzan (Sam). Thanks, Nicole! The story is an adaptation of "Henny Penny". We then made some stick/foam animal faces, & had some playtime.
Not sure when the next Klub will be. I'll keep you posted!

April 24th-Giving

GIVING
This week we were at the Klubhouse! About 13 Kidz showed up, 4 of which were new faces-Adan, Connor & Jolynn (visiting from Mexico) & Kylie. Some of the Kidz did "Thank You" cards for those at the Market that give to the missionary families & others colored or made thaumatropes (see activity page).

Hi, Pedro!

After inspiration (see video clip below) we acted out the story of "Butter & Honey" about how if we do something for somebody who needs it, that's just like doing it to Jesus! Read this & other stories about giving below.

CONTEST!

Kidz Klub of Central Texas is just a "working name"* for our club! can you help us come up with a real cool name? There will be a prize for the one that gets picked (or maybe we'll vote on it.) Any ideas on a good prize? Hmmmm???
Ideas:
Make a word thats letters each stand for another word.
i.e.-K.I.D.S.-Kids In Discipleship Service

Parts of words that make up a name
i.e.-ACCENT-Activated Children of CENtral Texas

Words with two meanings
Souled out Kidz! (We're sold on Jesus & winning souls)

Sorry, none of these can be used. Get together with your friends or parents & come up with a wild name that really means something! What kind of group do you want to be long to? The "Ho-hum, Jesus is a Bore" Club or the "Rock 'em, Sock 'em (the Devil that is) Soul Winners for Jesus" Club? (Hey, that gives me another idea for a contest...)

We'll be waiting for your ideas!

*name we are using just for now!

Working Together!

This week we went to McAllister Park to enjoy the nice spring weather! The topic was "Working Together"!

As usual,
Sam started us off with a rousing inspiration,

which was followed up by "The Carpenter's Tools" skit & a memory verse
(Ecc. 4:9-see below).

We then had a fun activity & finished off with a Bucket Brigade relay & play time. Over 22 kids made it for the fun!

Below are postings of videos, activity sheets, memory verse & stories & color pages, so if you missed anything you should be able to print it out here!

See you at the next Kidz Klub!
